According to Gartner®, security and governance concerns are a significant barrier to Generative AI adoption. In their 2024 survey: Impact of GenAI in the Digital Workplace, 57% of respondents limited their GenAI rollout to low-risk/ trusted users and 40% delayed their rollout by three months or more due to data security and governance concerns. To remedy this, Gartner recommends augmenting GenAI with third-party data security and governance add-ons.

According to AvePoint, one must read this Gartner report to:

  • Learn how to secure GenAI deployments across your organization for safe adoption.
  • Discover practical governance strategies to manage GenAI access and usage.
  • Master techniques to prevent data oversharing and security risks that stall AI projects.
