AvePoint CMO Sy Joins Voices For Innovation Advisory Task Force

Dux Raymond Sy to champion technology advancements ranging from universal broadband access to modernizing data privacy laws.

Jersey City, NJ – February 1, 2018 – AvePoint Chief Marketing Officer and Microsoft Regional Director, Dux Raymond Sy, has been selected to join the Voices For Innovation (VFI) Advisory Task Force, Class of 2018. The 18-member VFA Advisory Task Force serves for three years to lead a coalition of professionals toward advancing 21^st century technology policies in the U.S. through advocacy and education.

Sy joined VFI to support its initiative to leverage unused TV white space to expand broadband internet access throughout rural and underserved communities in the U.S. In October of 2017, Sy represented the coalition before the FCC to present research on the millions of Americans that do not have internet access, or the resources to obtain it independently.

“Internet access is a vital tool that is woven into the fabric of modern life and culture in the U.S. It’s unacceptable that more than 34 million Americans currently don’t have access,” said Sy. “I’ve seen firsthand the immediate transformation that happens when a community is given internet access.”

Sy’s involvement with the VFI Task Force is part of AvePoint’s Philanthropy program. Its mission is to impact humanity and drive change through technology, community, and education.
