At AvePoint, we’re all about fostering talent and watching our interns thrive. Whether they’re transitioning into full-time roles, extending their internships with us, or going back to university to continue their studies, our interns have provided tremendous value to AvePoint and grown their skills in the process. Here’s the latest on what our amazing 2023–2024 cohort has been up to!

Jessie Chen: Elevating Our Visual Identity

Jessie Chen, a senior at Tulane University, brought a fresh perspective to our Graphic Design team. Jessie created a custom icon design library, refreshed our brand strategy, and contributed to building the brand identity for our core values. She was also involved in photo editing and treatment, filming in-studio content, and developing a YouTube videos best practices guide. Jessie’s creative flair and strategic thinking have significantly enhanced our visual identity, and we’re grateful for the vibrant contributions she has made to our brand.

Sereena Gill: Predicting the Future (Literally!)

Sereena Gill, currently studying at New York University, took on a highly impactful project working closely with our People Analytics Director and global People Team. She developed a predictive analytics model designed to spot potential employee turnover before it happens. By analyzing data and spotting patterns, Sereena’s work will help AvePoint create proactive retention strategies to keep our top talent thriving. She has extended her internship with us, and we’re looking forward to the tremendous impacts she will have on our talent retention efforts!

Ashley Lim: From Two-Time Intern to Full-Time Marketing Data Analyst

Ashley Lim has been on quite the journey with AvePoint. She first joined us in 2019 as a Technical Support Intern and made such an impact that we couldn’t wait to have her back. Ashley returned as a Marketing Data Analyst Intern in 2023, working with True Sandoval — who was also an intern before going full-time with us in 2021. Now, after graduating from Virginia Tech, Ashley is coming back to AvePoint full-time as a Marketing Data Analyst. She’ll be flexing her skills at our Arlington office, and we’re so excited to see her continue to thrive!

Andrew Luo: Marketing Data Analytics Wiz Extends Internship

Andrew Luo, currently studying at Lafayette University, first interned with us in 2022 with a focus on data science. He returned this past summer as our Marketing Data Analytics Intern, analyzing our website to better understand the journeys and interactions of customers, partners, and investors. His insights have contributed to an increased ROI for our digital marketing team’s paid advertising investments. Utilizing data from our marketing tech stack, Andrew identified patterns and areas for improvement, from underperforming web pages to enhancing call-to-actions on our website. We’re excited that Andrew has extended his internship into the fall so he can continue his work with our web team to conduct data-driven experiments that will improve the user experience on our website.

Brandon Ou: Innovating with Data & AI

Brandon Ou has been a dynamic addition to our Data & AI team. As a freshman at Purdue University, Brandon analyzed prompts across AI tools like ChatAVPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot. He was instrumental in building a prompt testing framework that will be leveraged in our future AI initiatives. Additionally, Brandon recommended a prompt sharing framework/tool for AvePoint and has been gathering the best prompts for sharing with colleagues. His innovative approach and analytical skills have been invaluable, and we’re excited to see how his contributions will shape our AI strategies moving forward.

Mimi Sarmin: Helping Scale AvePoint’s Customer Success Team

When it comes to instilling the right processes to help AvePoint’s Customer Success teams run smoothly, Mimi Sarmin is our go-to resource. As a Virginia Commonwealth University student, Mimi dove into Customer Success operations with enthusiasm. She has been busy updating and centralizing content essential to our Customer Success teams’ operations, ensuring we have the right information available when pursuing customer renewals, gathering and centralizing customer positive business outcomes and use cases, and updating customer onboarding content. Thanks to Mimi’s hard work, our processes are tighter and more efficient than ever. We’re thrilled to have her continue her internship with us and see where her work takes us next!

Kevin Thompson: Powering Up AvePoint’s Data and AI Game

Kevin Thompson has been an essential part of AvePoint’s Data and AI team since joining this summer as an intern. His hard work and dedication have paid off as he makes the leap to a full-time role as a Machine Learning Analyst. Kevin has been instrumental in building and testing interaction and response results for AvePoint’s very own ChatAVPT product. We’re thrilled to have Kevin join us full-time now that he’s completed his master’s degree at DePaul University and can’t wait for the continued impact he will make on our Data and AI initiatives!

We’re so proud of everything our interns have accomplished, and we’re beyond excited to keep building our future together. Whether they’re moving into full-time roles or continuing their internships, these rising stars are helping shape AvePoint’s future, one brilliant idea at a time!
