Earlier today, I had the great honor of officially establishing AvePoint’s International R&D Hub in Singapore. This is a pivotal moment in our company’s history, one that signifies our longstanding commitment to continued innovation, global expansion, and helping organizations around the world collaborate with confidence in the modern workplace. With our increased presence in Singapore, AvePoint’s goal is to drive product leadership and foster local talent to support the growing global demand for B2B solutions, and I am eager for what the future holds.
The Path to Singapore
Leading up to today’s opening ceremony, I kept thinking back to when it all began. Singapore is well known for its strong IT and digital infrastructure which enables agile business and proactive support that can scale to the global market. In 2008, we started our Singapore partnership with a focus on designing, developing, and deploying solutions that would help power digital transformation in the country. Since then, we’ve worked closely with the Singapore government, educational institutions, and enterprise organizations to do just that. Especially with the support of the Economic Development Board (EDB) in Singapore, our partnership has continued to flourish.
Powerful Partnership with Microsoft and Beyond
Over the years, AvePoint’s strong relationship with Microsoft Singapore has led to tremendous growth. AvePoint has always complemented native Microsoft offerings to make digital work more efficient and secure. As part of our expansion in Singapore, we will continue to build strong IT and infrastructure capabilities to benefit customers around the world.
We’ve also joined forces with several key institutions of higher learning (IHLs) and corporations to advance Singapore’s mission of transforming lifelong education for all citizens. For example, we’ve been working with six Singapore IHLs to deploy a training management system that will foster continuous learning and education for over 100,000 learners by 2023.
MaivenPoint Powers Modern Collaborative Learning
When we introduced AvePoint EduTech, our SaaS modern learning product line in Singapore, AvePoint redefined collaborative learning. Upskilling the workforce has always been critical in Singapore, which is why AvePoint EduTech, now MaivenPoint, has resonated so well with local IHLs, corporations and government entities in the country and around the world.
So far, we’ve helped millions of learners in Singapore and around the world achieve personal and professional aspirations. Our goal is to continue to make learning limitless with MaivenPoint and to emulate the MaivenPoint model – where we’ve partnered with and built a solution for consumer and business users on top of M365 – for future product lines to come. With that in mind, we knew it was time to take another bold step in Singapore.
International R&D Hub Paves the Way for New Growth
Now, with our International R&D Hub in Singapore, AvePoint continues to build new products and solutions that help with the evolution of hybrid work, SaaS and data management, modern learning, and more. I am confident in our ability to keep innovating, and that is due in large part to the diverse talent pool in Singapore which has always been at the forefront of global innovation.
As part of our mission to fuel innovation and grow technology leaders in the region, we have partnered with EDB-DISG to hire over 500 additional colleagues by 2026. In fact, our new hires will undergo a training program tailored to hone critical skills in key digital areas, such as data security and governance, data analytics and AI, as well as SaaS software and applications development.
I am thankful to the entire AvePoint team for their commitment and dedication to advancing our mission to help organizations collaborate with confidence in the modern world. As we launch the International R&D Hub in Singapore, I am excited for yet another chapter in the AvePoint story to unfold.
