AvePoint implemented the Predictive Insights (PI) and Unified Data Platform (UDP), which leveraged five cloud-native components to integrate all data sets of the institution into a single platform in a bid to elicit data driven insights and AvePoint offered value-added consultancy to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

This implementation into the educational institution’s systems involved:

• Data Identification: Migrate and consolidate about 20 years of historical data across nearly 300 structured and unstructured datasets to prepare a knowledge base.
• Data Integration: Utilise native Amazon Web Services tools such as DataSync and Application Migration Service to integrate non-structured and structured data respectively to create a Data Lakeand, which helped consolidate the wide range of data used by management and departments, assisting in the decision-making process, as well as operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Data Modelling and Governance: Maintain data quality, manageability, availability, and security through robust data governance and modelling practices.
• Data Visualisation: Provide intuitive and insightful data visualisation to aid in decision-making, flexibly configurable through Power BI and Tableau.
• Intelligent Insight and Prediction: Leverage AWS Sagemaker to provide insights and forecast on information
  that matters to the organization. For the educational institution, this involves student attrition, graduate employment outcomes within one to five years after graduation, and consistency of student attendance.
• Consultation Services: Access to a team of experts to ensure data correctness, consistency, and completeness of the systems implementation.
