As an organisation that values corporate social responsibility (CSR), AvePoint is committed to supporting our local communities through various causes. We’re proud to say that in 2019 our Australia team has participated in many CSR campaigns and fun, inspiring, and charitable team building activities. Here’s a recap of what we’ve achieved so far this year and what’s upcoming!

Doing Our Best to Help Patients

In February, we donated to Monash Health through supporting Kara Brooks in her trek of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

Monash Health is Victoria’s largest public health service and supports many major hospitals and community health centres across Melbourne. The foundation raises funds for innovative technology, research projects, and education to improve health care for patients.

Kara Brooks, a paediatric nurse at the Monash Children’s Hospital, managed to reach the summit of the mountain with 18 other passionate individuals and raised tremendous funds for Monash Health.

We also donated to a community-funded charity, Bowel Cancer Australia, to support their research, life-saving advocacy, education, and treatment for people affected by bowel cancer.

FUNdraising, in a FUN Way!

Apart from corporate donations, we also encourage our employees to participate in our fundraising events to drive donations in a FUN way! In March of this year we had great fun raising money for a Melbourne-based charity One Girl by participating in their “Do It In A Dress“ campaign. Collectively we raised $2,485 which gave education access to 8 girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda. Check out our blog AvePoint AU “Bares All” for International Women’s Day for more details.

Charitable Team Building, to Be Continued…

Philanthropy is a continuous journey, and we’ve made a commitment to do as much as we can to give back to the community while simultaneously boosting team spirit and unity through various charity-based team building programs.

On 15th September we’ll be participating in the 18.8km Connor’s Run to support brain cancer research. Most of the Australian crew will be running for the cause while enjoying a chance to bond alongside hundreds of other participants.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 for this campaign, and the money will go towards the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation’s AIM Brain Matters projects, helping doctors better understand individual brain tumours and providing personalised diagnoses and medicine to young people battling brain cancer.

If you’d like to support us, donate here. Let’s support the project together!

At AvePoint AU, we’d like to support different causes as much as you support us. In August we’ll be running four workshops across Australia and New Zealand on Microsoft Teams & Yammer Adoption, and we’re proud to announce that we’ll be donating $5 to the Brain Matters Project for every single attendee at our workshops on their behalves. Check out our workshop details below and save your spot—not just to learn about Microsoft Teams, but also to support a great cause!
