What will you be doing?

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating and guiding the scrum team in adopting and implementing the Scrum framework.  You will be part of an agile team responsible for products used by the Financial Industry and MAS officers for Financial Supervision function.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  •  Responsible for managing scope and timeline of projects
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand‐ups
  • Act as the point of contact for external communications (e.g. vendors or stakeholders)
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  • Help teams implement changes effectively
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Provide guidance to team members in Agile frameworks

Other qualities you will need to be a fit for this role include:

  • Familiarity with software development
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP etc.)
  • Strong experience in managing business, IT and senior stakeholders;
  • Ability to solve complex problems and resolve conflicts;
  • Sound understanding of the technical aspects of Systems integration in an environment with diverse technologies;
  • Self‐driven, creative and team‐oriented person with good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills and ability to influence to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required;
  • Working experience in using project management software to track, monitor, and reporting of project progress and producing reports;
  • Proven record in managing external contractors and monitoring and reporting progress;
  • Preferably more than 3 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master;
  • Scrum master certification will be an added advantage
