When migrating from SharePoint 2007 to 2010 or 2013, some files will fail or complete with exceptions if any FAB 40 (Application Templates for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0) templates exist in SharePoint 2007.
After SharePoint 2007, Microsoft stopped supporting FAB 40 templates. The lack of FAB 40 support is a limitation with SharePoint itself. While DocAve can map certain templates, users should not expect FAB 40 templates to migrate successfully. There is no official Microsoft support for these templates, so end users should not expect full support for migrating these templates.
