Removing the Certificate Error in DocAve 6.01

Issue:

When opening the DocAve 6 GUI a Certificate error appears that prompts you to leave or continue.

Solution: to remove this prompt follow the steps below

  1. Step 1: First modify the hosts file located in \Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Note that Notepad must be ran as administrator to ensure you can modify this file. Include the IP address the Manager is installed on then hit tab or spacebar and enter DocAve. 4.jpg
  2. Install the security certificate. If you open the DocAve GUI a prompt to install the certificate will be displayed at the top of the Browser to right of the URL. such as in the image below.5.jpg
  3. Modify the URL to following. https://docave:14000/Index.htm    The security prompt will not appear.

 

*Note: The host file needs to be modified on each machine that will be accessing the Manager.
