AvePoint & Houston #SharePoint User Group @hspug for Hurricane Harvey Relief #techforgood
This past January, we launched AvePoint Philanthropy, with the intent of giving back and formalizing our global outreach program, across three pillars of Technology, Community and Education. The definition of community encompasses many different forms but it has no boundaries. To come together in time of need, and to help those in need is fundamentally inherent. So it gives me great pleasure that we are able to see our program in place and to announce a new partnership.
In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, making landfall in late August and the continued devastation in the days after, we connected with Houston SharePoint User Group (H-SPUG), a non-profit we support that shares knowledge and education around Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365 and related cloud technologies, to see how we can work together to help with the relief efforts.
Our support for H-SPUG and the local community will continue throughout the next weeks, and months, until Houston returns to be #TexasStrong. We have provided cash donation to H-SPUG to further disseminate funds to local organizations, because the thing about community is that the people who know best are those on the front lines. Year after year, we celebrate our partners, customers and the community, and this year will be no different. The #AvePointRED Party is happening again at Microsoft Ignite 2017 in Orlando, Florida, on September 26, 2017!
To make the #AvePointRED Party even more meaningful, Windows Insiders Chief NinjaCat Dona Sarkar and I will host a fashion show fundraiser, #AvePointRed Runway, to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
